The "Killer GummyYummy" and "Jolly Rancher Cannabis Herb" drops -- containing the active chemical in marijuana -- were found during a Monday afternoon stop of a speeding, tailgating Jeep Cherokee on 16th Avenue, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.
So was $7,180 in suspected drug proceeds, he said.
Officers immediately smelled raw marijuana as soon as the driver -- identified as 35-year-old Alexis Fernandez of Paterson -- lowered the window after the stop, Speziale said.
A search turned up a bag of pot and a thick envelope containing 19 packages of edibles and 80 Oxycodone pills, he said.
Police released Fernandez, under New Jersey's 2017 bail reform law, after charging him with various drug counts, the director said. They also gave him summonses for having improper safety glass and no registration, he.
